Help Needed!!!

The interns of St. Luke's have been discussing and planning for a very interesting coffeehouse-type event that we hope will take place on the 3rd Thursday of each month. Naturally, trying to create an aesthetically pleasing environment (complete with coffeehouse-type food and drink) will require more work than the three interns can handle on their own. That's where you come in! We would love to have you join us in this new experiment. If you are interested in helping to provide some of the needed behind-the-scenes work, please contact one of our interns for more details. Jeremy Mast, Dianna Perero, Kathryn Streeter and Andrew DeFusco.

The Search for Our Next Rector

On March 17, the Vestry met with the Search Committee to hear their recommendation for a candidate for our next Rector. Their enthusiasm and unanimity was inspiring to hear, and it was encouraging to see God's hand at work in this search.

The Vestry will now proceed with the next phase of the process. Please keep the Vestry and our candidate in your prayers as together we discern God's will, particularly as we bring the candidate and his family out to meet with the Vestry and visit our town of La Crescenta.

Thank you so much to all who served on the Rector Search Committee.

Adult Education

“Can We Talk”

Discussions led by Chris Blakey, MDiv, PhD, and Chair of the Philosophy Department at COC.

A 4-week series designed to stimulate healthy engagement and constructive thinking related to issues that sometimes are difficult to discuss. We will be attempting to discuss the various ways in which biblical concepts might inform our thinking on these topics.

April 27th & May 4th: “Politics and the Christian”
May 11th & May 18th: "Evolution, Creation, and the Christian"

Please come and join us Sunday Mornings from 10:00-10:50 in the Rectory!

Letters to Sponsored Children

Due by Sunday, May 4

Father Hamlet will be visiting St. Luke’s on Sunday, May 4. This will provide an opportunity to send mail with him to your sponsored children at the Nyamirama Parents Primary School in Uganda. The children greatly enjoy hearing from you frequently. You may include pictures or other printed items of interest with your letter. Please place your letters in the large envelope attached to the Uganda bulletin board in Sadler Hall by May 4.

Commitment Sunday Stewardship Celebration

Make sure to mark your calandars and plan on joining us Sunday, April 27th after the 11 a.m. service for a time of fellowship, fun and of course hot dogs and ice cream! We’ll have a bounce house for the kids and make sure to join us for the ping pong competition. Bring the whole family as we celebrate the end of this year’s stewardship campaign!
